I am over the moon to announce that I am now repped by Mark Gottlieb of Trident Media Group, New York, NY. I know, you're thinking, but wait, what? You did this backwards. You would be right.
After I wrote Thought I Knew You, I was fortunate enough to be published by Red Adept Publishing, an amazing small press out of North Carolina. They've set me up, taught me to write, listened to me whine, taught me how to work with an editor, helped me promote, bought ads, gave me GAWGEOUS covers that sell themselves, and were all around fabulous. Because they're small, they take unagented submissions, and therefore I've never had an agent.
When I was approached by Mark, I knew I was ready to move up. I would like to try to publish with a larger publishing house, and typically the only way to do that is through a literary agent.
There's no right way to be a successful author. I'm sure I'll stumble along the way, but right now, I can't get over the view...from slightly higher up.
Also, who am I kidding? I've been "squeeing" for weeks!
I periodically ramble and theorize on life and writing. I sometimes conduct experiments on my family.
